Habitat

Found exclusively in high-altitude Afroalpine grasslands, moorlands, and wetlands of the Ethiopian Highlands, typically above 1,800 m (6,000 ft) and often up to 4,000 m (13,000 ft), near freshwater sources.

Diet

Strictly herbivorous, their diet consists mainly of short grasses, sedges, and other herbaceous and aquatic vegetation, obtained by grazing.
